PULLING TOGETHER FOR STUDENT SUCCESS
The New Horizons conference is the premier teaching and learning conference of the Virginia Community College System, annually attracting more than 900 attendees including college faculty, staff, and administrative leaders from Virginia’s community colleges. With over 180 hours of programming, New Horizons is the single largest professional development gathering of the system.
This years’ theme, Pulling Together for Student Success, recognizes the need for pulling together as a college community in support of our students from connection through completion. In addition to highlighting innovative teaching and learning , sessions emphasis the role of collaboration, creativity, integrated student supports, and effective business process redesigns in supporting student persistence and progression.
